This is the fourth film of the Jason Bourne film series that is based on the Bourne novel written by Eric Van Lustbader. This is a Bourne film that doesn't feature Jason Bourne (played by Matt Damon) as part of the the primary story and got a different plot than the previous movies. The Bourne Legacy was directed by Tony Gilroy and distributed by Universal Pictures.
